This page lists the art-related tasks that are most critical to complete to continue progress towards our most immediate team goals. Tasks are roughly ordered in matter of urgency, with more urgent tasks at the top and less urgent tasks at the bottom. The top section of this page contains tasks to which no one is yet assigned, while the bottom section contains tasks which already have someone working on them. This piece is what will play at the Allacrost boot screen. It is a very important piece because it will be the first music that the player hears when they play Allacrost, and we would like to make a good first impression on them. It will also contain the leitmotif that subsequent themes are based upon.  ;)
Battle Theme (none yet)  ??% Unknown Rain, Loodwig
Multiple battle themes by both Rain and Loodwig have been developed. The difficult part will be chosing which theme we want to pursue for inclusion in the demo/prologue module. :) Since we planned on having multiple battle themes anyway however, none of the unchosen battle themes will necessarily go to waste. Allacrost battle themes are intense, techno pieces created to get the player's adrenaline pumping.
Boss Theme (none yet)  ??% Unknown Rain
There is one boss theme that is very near completion. The thought is still up in the air whether certain bosses should have their own boss music so this will be tentative. There will be a FINAL BOSS battle theme of course.  :D

Developed Theme, now just need to complete production into an audio format.

SETBACK - lost a key piece of hardware, which requires the midi file to be re-written. As time permits, this will be resolved.
SETBACK - Mixer is damaged, and all audio produced has a 60hz and some other high pitched squeel as well. For now, audio will be produced in a more craptacular form until better equipment can be procured.

Logo Sword Animation Sounds (NA) 50% Unknown shizeet
For the boot screen we need some very good, high-quality sounds for the logo animation. The logo animation works as follows. First, the logo appears with the 't' sword in Allacrost actually cut into the word Allacros (as if the word was sheathing the sword). Then, the sword is drawn out of the 'sheath' (sound #1), spins around in the air a few times (sound #2), and finally comes cutting down from above and fixes its position in the word Allacrost (sound #3). It is important that we get these sounds prior to the release of the demo so it is rather important that this work get started (at least finding sample sounds to start with). These sounds should also make a big impact on the player, as they are the first sounds that the player will hear. The most difficult part will be the timing of the animation of the sword in the logo with the sound, so it is predicted that a moderate amount of re-mixing will be needed.

  2. Sound #2: sword cutting the air with a 'woosh'. May needed to be looped if the sound is not long enough.
  3. Sound #3: the sword crashing down into the word Allacrost
